Sturdy cold shoe that functions perfectly
Excellent cold shoe mount - using it for optical viewfinder.
A straightforward device that I use with my L-Bracket to hold a small monitor. The reason I use this - as opposed to hot shoe mounting is that I don't like the monitor directly in the field of view. I can get a sense of the shot I want, then refer to to the offset monitor to fine tune. It also frees up the hotshoe for hot stuff.
A simple thing, but this sort of modularity is one of the reasons I like SmallRig products so much.
Great item, as described, very handy
Amazing part but needs to add a metal lock in piece to hold anything you slide it in like the ones in sony xdcam series cameras
Nice and lightweight it gets the job done
There's only 2 things Id do differently
1st is drill and tap the opposing side of the shoe for the stop screw that way you can flip the shoe 180 deg and keep the stop at what is now the front of the shoe. I have mine this way, it sits nice over the top corner of the camera.
2nd include 1 short screw. 1 of The mounting screws was too long and hit the side of the camera body.
Updates:
SmallRig contact me and verified this is wrong part for using to attached hot shoe flash. I should be using SmallRig Cold Shoe 1960
I will give another update when I test out the SmallRig Cold Shoe 1960
Thanks for quickly respond
This is not for attaching flash, doesn't have screw to locked tight and the flash contact might hit the metal
