The SmallRig Awards, upholding its mission to “See it, Change it,” has unveiled its 2024 final jury panel, comprising 5 renowned directors, cultural leaders, and industry experts. This prestigious panel will adjudicate 3,891 films submitted from 120 countries and regions, representing 55 languages. The diversity of submissions underscores the awards’ global influence in fostering cross-cultural dialogue.

The 2024 jury is headed by Ruby Yang, winner of the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short for The Blood of Yingzhou District. Joining her are:
·Aelrun Goette (Germany): A two-time Grammy Award winner and honorary professor at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF.
·Uli Gaulke (Germany): Known for films screened at the Berlin International Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival, including his acclaimed work Havanna mi amor.
·Gu Tao (China): Recipient of the AND Fund at Busan International Film Festival for The Solitary Mountain, and creator of the Ewenki Trilogy, which includes The Last Moose of Aoluguya, Yuguo and His Mother, and Aoluguya, Aoluguya.
·You Xiaogang (China): A pioneer in China’s television drama industry and recipient of numerous national awards, including the Publicity Department's "Five One Project Award”
