Sony FX6 Series Cage
Mr.Nguyen has a wealth of industrial design experience. This cage design, his first DreamRig Project submission, combines the bold color scheme of navy blue & dark red and is not restricted by the camera’s square shape.
He feels that the Sony FX6 is a professional video camera that deserves its own professional cage system. And he hopes that we can make this color cage for him - balancing practicality and design.
Features:
Chronos 1.4 Cage
The Chronos series of cameras are niche cameras. They are high-speed cameras that were first crowdfunded in 2016 and had a video recording function of up to 38,500fps. Not many people have access to this limited production camera, and it is hard to find accessories for it, so user Nicholas came up with a great idea. With the assistance of the DreamRig Project team, a dedicated cage for the Chronos 1.4 was born.
Features:
Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II/III Cage
Based on the OM-D E-M1 Mark Ⅱ cage of KOL@菲林视界 in bilibili platform suggested many improvements and innovations, added several interfaces, and enhanced the appearance to better match the body style.
After the cage design was finalized, we shared some images on social media that caught the attention of Olympus’s official account. They were very impressed with the results, so we decided to produce a small number of cages. If you want to buy one, you can leave a message in the comment area.
Features:
Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera Cage (with side handle)
The Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera was the first "cube" camera released in 2016. It was one of the first cameras with RAW and ProRes codecs, packing several powerful features into a compact body.
Creator Lance wanted the camera to have extensive expansion options and a comfortable ergonomic design, but most companies have discontinued cages for this camera. Undeterred, he designed this cage himself to maximize the BMCC’s potential. His vision focuses on modularity, which can help in multi-scenario applications.
Features:
Sony Alpha 7S Ⅲ Cage
User Mr.Du wanted to design a cage for the Sony Alpha 7S Ⅲ that would be compatible with Sony’s FX3 dedicated audio. He also wanted to add sliders on the top and side and a built-in Arca quick release platform on the bottom. Adjusting the position of the cold shoe was needed to prevent the Rode Wireless Go system and top slider from interfering with each other.
Mr.Du provided detailed design files, and the DreamRig Project team helped him complete the 3D model. Through Mr.Du’s vision, we now have a deeper understanding of users' needs and real-world applications, which is essential for future product development.
Canon EOS R5 CAGE
This hand-held kit for a Canon EOS R5 is a gift from motorcycle racer Lex’s dad. Because his daughter loves the color purple and photography and often uses the products, he contacted the DreamRig Project team and asked them to customize a purple Canon EOS R5 cage for his daughter.
The DreamRig Project has co-created thousands of products with our users. After reading this article, do you want to customize a cage with your unique style? Bring your creativity and become a part of the growing DreamRig team!
