📋 Cancel an Order
Order not yet shipped
You can cancel at any time before the package is handed to the carrier (carrier pickup record is the official cutoff). Once a tracking number has been generated, the "Cancel Order" button in your account automatically disables and the order moves to the standard return process below.
How to cancel
- Signed-in orders: Log into your SmallRig account → My Orders → find the order → click "Cancel Order" → confirm.
- Guest checkout (no account): Email our support team and we'll cancel it for you — the system can't identify guest orders on its own.

After your cancellation is approved, your full refund is issued within 5–7 business days to your original payment method. The exact time it appears in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.
🔄 30-Day No-Reason Return & Exchange (After Delivery)
Changed your mind? You've got 30 days from delivery to return or exchange your item, no questions asked.
Eligibility
- Timeframe: Within 30 days of the delivery date shown in the tracking record.
- Item condition: Brand-new and unopened, or opened but with no installation marks or signs of use. All accessories, manuals, and original packaging (outer box, inner foam/cardboard inserts, and labels) must be included.
- Special case: The SmallRig Multifunctional Portable SSD (1TB, model 6292) has an extended 45-day no-reason return window.
How to request
- Submit your request. Email smallrig@smallrig.com and include:
- Your order number
- Clear photos or short video of the outer box/carton and the product itself, showing it meets the "brand-new" condition
- Support reply. A SmallRig support agent will reply within 24 hours with a Return Guide (return address, packing requirements, etc.).
- Ship the item back. Pack the product and all original accessories as instructed and send to the return address provided.
- Inspection. When your return arrives at our warehouse, we'll inspect both appearance and function. If the condition doesn't meet our return standards, we may not be able to complete the refund.
- Refund issued. Once inspection passes, we start the refund.

⚠️ 7-Day DOA (Quality or Transit Issue)
If you run into any of the following within 7 days of delivery, you're covered by our DOA (Dead-on-Arrival) full refund policy.
What's covered
- Wrong item received (model or specs don't match your order)
- Missing parts (accessories, manuals, etc.)
- Physical damage, scratches, or deformation
- Manufacturing defects that affect normal use
How to request
- Submit your request (within 7 days of delivery). Email smallrig@smallrig.com and include:
- Your order number and a description of the issue
- Clear photos or video of the entire shipping carton (including the shipping label)
- Photos or video of the affected product area
- Support review. A SmallRig support agent will reply within 24 hours to help troubleshoot.
- Return authorization. Once we confirm the issue falls under DOA, we'll email you a Return Guide with the return address.
- Ship the item back. Follow the guide and include all accessories and packaging.
- Refund issued. After we receive the return and inspection passes, we start the refund.

⏱️ Refund Timing Explained
- When the refund starts: The day SmallRig completes inspection and confirms the return meets our policy (we'll email you to confirm).
- Processing time: 5–7 business days.
- When it actually appears in your account: Depends on your payment provider (bank, credit card issuer, PayPal, etc.) — it may take a bit longer than 5–7 business days.
- How to track it: After the refund is issued, contact our support team for the transaction reference number, which you can use to follow up with your payment provider.
📦 Item Condition Requirements (for All Returns)
To make sure your refund goes through smoothly, please make sure returned items meet the following:
- Like-new condition: No installation marks, scratches, or wear.
- Original packaging intact: Outer box, inner inserts, manual, accessories, and labels all included.
- Original seal labels intact: The factory-applied seal on the product must not be broken or removed.
- No unauthorized modifications: No signs of disassembly or self-repair.
If conditions aren't met: If our inspection finds the item doesn't meet these standards, we may refuse the refund or deduct a reasonable amount to cover the loss in value.
🚫 Items Not Eligible for Return or Exchange
The following are not covered by this policy:
- Items outside the 30-day / 45-day / 7-day request window (based on the delivery record on file)
- Items that have been used, installed, worn, scratched, or show clear signs of use
- Free gifts
- Items not purchased from SmallRig's official authorized channels
- Damage caused by third-party repair or modification
- Items with missing packaging or with SN labels that have been altered, defaced, or removed
