If I use the SmallRig USB-C control cable for Panasonic/FUJIFILM instead of the included Sony cable, will the REC trigger button on this handle work with a Lumix camera?

We are afraid not. Sorry that this handle doesn't work with Lumix camera even change the cable.

Is there a possibility of using it with a Sony A7V? I’ve recently acquired the camera and want to know if it can be used with the grip. Which USB-C to USB-C cable do I need to buy? Thanks
