Are the locating pins on the plate retractable? If cage doesn’t have both holes for the pins, will it mount properly? Will it mount properly in the Viltrox DC-550 (picture below)?

Yes, they are retractable. So if the cage doesn't have both holes for the pins, it also can be mounted.

Will the quick release system ever be paired with the rhinoceros cage? It’s for the same reason I need the rhinoceros cage. With arthritis, it’s difficult to manipulate dials under a metal bar or to tighten things down.

Can I use this as a base to mount the 4487 to the Arri 3322 using the 1610 adapter (1/4” - 3/8”)?
