I purchased this cage for my new Canon R8 because I had such a great experience with the cages for the Canon M50 and M50 II, generally the new cage has lived up to expectations, but I can't find **any** dummy batteries on the market that are physically compatible with the opening on the side of the cage, so the only option would be to install the dummy battery **before** installing the cage (and I'm not even sure if THAT would work… is the Smallrig team aware of any of these products that are compatible? I'm desperately trying to avoid having to switch to another cage, but I need to be able to swap from a standard battery to a dummy battery while the cage is still on the camera.

Please confirm whether you need to remove the battery compartment cover when installing the fake battery. Please provide a video of the operation process of installing the fake battery into the camera before installing the rabbit cage.
