How do you turn the units off to save the battery?

This wireless microphone is designed to save battery automatically: Auto Power-Off: The transmitter and receiver will automatically turn off after 5 minutes of being disconnected from each other. Manual Shutdown: To turn the units off immediately, simply place the transmitters back into the charging case and close the lid. This ensures they stop drawing power and begin recharging. Reconnection Note: If you reconnect the devices within 5 minutes of disconnection, they will automatically pair again without needing a manual restart. There is no dedicated physical "off" switch on the individual transmitter units; the auto-shutdown feature and charging case are the primary methods for preserving battery life.

Is there a way to manually pair the mic to the receiver? Received my S70 kit, and one of the mics will not connect to either receiver (camera or USB-C)

Yes, you can manually pair the S70 transmitter to the receiver. Please follow these steps: Turn off both the transmitter (mic) and the receiver. Press and hold the pairing button on both the transmitter and the receiver simultaneously for 6 seconds until the blue light starts flashing. Pairing is successful when the light turns solid blue. If the transmitter still does not connect to either receiver after manual pairing, it may indicate a hardware defect. In that case, I recommend contacting our customer service team at smallrig@smallrig.com for warranty support or replacement.

If the transmitter goes out of range for 30 minutes and then comes back into range of the receiver, will the connection be automatically re-established or will the connection have to be re-established manually?

1. After the microphone disconnects from the receiver, it will enter reconnection mode. If reconnection is not completed within 5 minutes, the microphone will automatically power off to prevent battery drain. When not in use, you can store both the microphone and receiver in the charging case. 2. If the microphone goes out of range and disconnects from the receiver, it will enter reconnection mode. When brought back within range of the receiver, it will automatically reconnect.
