    Great addition to Ursa Mini

The standard arm for the Blackmagic Ursa Mini is a tad short for most people. This gives a needed extra length. Arm is well-built.

This extension arm with Arri rosette is compatible with accessories with Arri rosette.

Its length could be adjusted via the NATO rail. It could be extended with Arri rosette arm and then Arri rosette handle for run-and-gun shooting.

    Weak, flimsy junk

Posted by Andrey on 1st Feb 2018

    a) The screw knob isn't very ergonomic - not that comfortable to adjust it with the rig on your shoulder. b) The screw knob does NOT hold the handle in-place in between the fully-extended and fully-contracted positions - the handle slips and moves around. It's NOT stable unless fully extended or fully contracted. c) If it's fully contracted - then it's the same length as a cheaper 1807 Extension Arm. When it's fully extended - the arm twists due to torque applied to the handle. Basically the aluminum extension part is too flimsy and too skinny to NOT twist. Hence, WHAT IS THE POINT of buying this arm? It can only exist in 2 positions - with the longer position being flimsy and the shorter one being the same length as a cheaper and STURDIER 1807.

    Solid arm

Posted by Ben on 28th Jul 2017

I am running this arm together with the Sony FS7 standard extension arm. Its a good piece of kit, it feels solid and is very easy to adjust the length unlock the Sony arm. I am using it on the left side and I'm very happy.
