It can fit the Crane 3

Posted by Josh Evans on 18th Sep 2019

Well, it does fit the Crane 3.
It's not a clean fit but I managed to loosen off the clamp lever ratchet enough to squeeze it into the clamp. Once in it slides and clamps down perfectly.
My Zcam E2 now sits low enough that it doesn't need a counterweight anymore with an 18-35.
I also mounted the 12mm rod up top using a 15-12mm home made sleeve. I drilled a 12mm hole down the middle of a 15mm rod, cut a slit down the side so it can clamp onto the 12mm rod. Mounted a small rig 15mm clamp to the top of the Zcam cage and now both motors fit on one rod.
The focus motor now works the correct way for one man band focus.
