I've been looking for the perfect EVF mount for my rig set up. And recently after being recommended by another filmmaker to look into this particular mount with the NATO rail feature, I decided to give it a try. It's quite versatile and it's fast to adjust. I can only speak for myself. I think it's probably one of the best-designed accessories by Smallrig. It is also one of my best-purchased items.
The EVF Mount is really unique in its design and style or even functions. It could be mounted on the top plate of cage on the one end, while mounted with viewfinder or monitor with a 1/4” screw on the other end. It enables to adjust the position of the EVF or monitor based on your needs in run-and-gun shooting and tripod shooting. I have zero complaint about it.
Bought this so I can stop using magic arms that constantly loosen give way during shooting. This little rig is light, versatile, well thought out and rock solid. Perfect for my SmallHD 502 external monitor!
I can't believe I used crappy magic arms instead of this for SO LONG!!!
