Designer: HAKU

Key Features:
1. It solves the cable issues when using an L-bracket.
2. Compatible with most of the Arca-swiss L-bracket of other brands.
3. Featuring scale mark for position arrangement.
4. Good for shutter release controller storage insides.

SmallRig L-Bracket Baseplate for Portrait Mode is to solve the cable issues when we do portrait mode with an L-bracket. Besides, it extends the distance between the L-bracket and the tripod, so the 150mm square filter won’t interfere with the long plates. Arca-swiss style featuring both the top and the bottom allows quick release. Moreover, it’s also compatible with most of the Arca-swiss L-brackets of other brands.

Featuring scale mark on the top and the side makes it easy for position arrangement. It can take in the shutter release controller in the middle so the controller doesn’t have to be hung. Besides, there are many M5 threaded holes on the sides, the cables can be arranged with M5 wingnuts, which makes your rig organized and clean.

Compatibility: Most of the L-brackets of SmallRig and other brands.

Quality product (as usual). I bought it as a rising block and it works fine, but functionality would be enhanced if the bottom Arca slide was solid, and tapped 3/8" to fit direct onto a tripod head, rather than hollow. If it was I would rate it 5 stars.

Simple but highly effective and very well executed. I would give 5/5 stars had the clamp travel moved another 0.5-1.0mm to clamp also plates that are a little undersize, as some are (particularly Novoflex). Could the design be revised to increase the clamp travel so as to tighten the clamp effectively for undersize plates also?
