SmallRig L-Bracket for Sony a7R IV & a9 II LCS2417 is a formfitting bracket. It is fixed to the camera bottom by a 1/4’’-20 screw, with anti-twist design preventing wiggles. Both the side plate and base plate are Arca compatible, with sensor centering marks on each axis, allowing quick switch of your camera from vertical to horizontal. It comes with multiple 1/4” threaded holes allowing mount of accessories. For example, mount the SmallRig Cold Shoe Mount 1593 to attach a microphone and mount SmallRig Cable Clamp 2259 to protect the HDMI cable and port. The side plate can be extended to left by 26mm if you need more room for tethering or cable release. It is compatible with the Peak Design Clutch and other hand straps. A flat-head screwdriver is fixed on the side plate. What’s more, it features a soft leather pad on the grip part for added comfort.

Very nicely done. Only on suggestion. Revise the side arm so the cable clamp can be mounted on either the inside or outside of the arm.
Like all products of SmallRig, this is not exception. Great quality, fits perfect. Amazing product, 100% recommended.
Well designed, well made and competitively priced. Does the job for the A7Riv camera and also for the A9ii camera.
My first experience with SmallRig after noticing their ads in Instagram. I have to say, I am impressed with the quality and what appears to be a durable and well machined product. There has been several comments about the pinky bump. I still do not have an opinion about it but it likely requires more time for me to use it before I render an opinion. I do like the design of the magnetized screw driver which is used for securing the L bracket to the camera but they also supply an Allen wrench for extending the L Bracket. My question is why have both?? Why not use hex screws for both applications and supply a single tool?
The L-Bracket was Federal expressed from China. It arrived quickly and on time. Shipping charges were included in the price of the bracket and I was not charged sales tax.
Good design and great quality
The grip extends out with a pinky bump that isn't flush with the grip of the camera. This is to allow the battery door to open with the grip attached. But it just feels weird in the hand with the bump.
The SmallRig brand has been known to me for a while but this is my first purchase from them. I've been using the bracket for about a month now and it is a crucial tool in furthering the use and handling of the A7RIV.
The thumb grip is a perfect additional size; the only comment is that the texture is not as nice as the body itself but this is very minor.
It is very well made, appears very durable (thankfully have not tested that aspect yet) and the additional threads are useful. The magnet for the screw tool is held on solidly.
If you have an A7RIV, this is the bracket to get.
Quality product, fits perfectly, I also own a manfrotto ball head with arca swiss head and this connects to it perfectly unlike other L brackets...
Having larger than average hands I really appreciate the extra space this bracket adds to the grip area on the alpha, specifically why I purchased this model. I also like the magnet-attached key, but would have preferred a hex key (for easier tightening) under the plate like some other models, just hope this one doesn't get brushed or bumped off.
